Doug and I purchased a used indoor sauna just before Christmas. With a bit of time and energy, Doug has improved it a bit. Being an indoor sauna there was no floor or real roof. The outer walls were made of paneling. The unit was stored outdoors and was in very poor shape outside.
Doug extended the walls to make it 49″ x 82″ inside. He extended the benches (actually our cedar picnic bench/table). It has a metal roof and unfaced fiberglass insulation throughout the inside.
The heater works great. We’ve used it several times. Sure beats the cold!
